Sin: Hide and Blame
Where do you go to hide from God? When you commit a grievous sin, when your failure weighs heavily, or when guilt and shame overwhelm you—where do you go to hide from God?
Rejecting God’s Grace
Every command presents a choice. God did not create robots. Humanity, made in God’s image, is neither programmed nor manufactured like AI products. God desires a relationship with us, and forced love is never the basis of a relationship. God grants created beings free will. We can love and follow him or rebel against him.
God’s Story of Promise
We will continue moving through Genesis and the Old Testament to learn and apply God’s story as we see him interact with his people. The Gift of Responsibility
Your work matters to God. You’re not just getting a paycheck. You’re not just punching a clock. It’s not about making a lot of money. God created work as a sacred calling. Your vocation places you on mission to do ministry. Every day you are investing in eternity.

We’ll consider the birth of the Church and the Spirit’s work in greater detail when we examine the book of Acts later in our study, but for now consider this: The disciples, along with that small group including Jesus’ mother and brothers, were the first to experience God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit in their fullness. They worshiped Yahweh Elohim, they walked with Jesus, and now, they were empowered by the Holy Spirit.
