Fortress

Fortresses were not built in the middle of the plains. Rather, they were built in high places, on top of or into the side of a mountain. So, with that background, check out today’s passage.

Are you exhausted from the battle? Need some rest? Refuge? Protection? Shelter from a storm that is pelting you with anxiety and fear? Time to find “The Rock.”

According to a recent article in Forbes, there are many reasons that you may feel tired all the time. Here is part of their list: Inadequate sleep, medical conditions, stress, depression and anxiety, and lack of physical activities. They also listed caffeine, but I refuse to include it! I need caffeine! Certainly, there are many things that can wear us down, but there is only one place where we can find true rest.

Are you in a battle today? Call upon Yahweh Tsebaoth.

God, our fortress, will never fail us. The Almighty Fortress will protect us today, tomorrow, and throughout eternity. The enemy is always defeated when God is our fortress.

My Stronghold: When God is with me, I can stand my ground against the enemy. With God, I never have to retreat.
