Father
ENGAGE: Talking to God
When Jesus taught us how to talk to the Father, he instructed us to pray, “your kingdom come.” Why did Jesus tell us to include this in our prayers? For an explanation, let’s consider 1 Corinthians 15:24-25.
ENGAGE: Real Talk
Prayer is simply talking with God. A conversation with the Creator. Who better to learn from than Jesus?
ENGAGE: Your Will Not Mine
Some even teach that praying with real faith is telling God what you want, when you want it, and that you will not take no for an answer. So…is praying, “Your will be done,” a cop-out? Let’s learn from Jesus.
ENGAGE: Making the Time
Why don’t people spend more time talking with God? Why don’t I spend more time talking with God? We can all give our excuses, but at the end of the day, we must make time to speak and listen to our heavenly Father. Jesus made this his priority early in the morning.
New Year: Deliverer
Before Jesus comes again, the world will experience chaos like never before. The Bible describes this time as the great tribulation, and this will be the beginning of the end. Those living in that terrible time will need a Deliverer.
All I Want for Christmas: Jesus
As we move through the week of Christmas, we are focusing on Jesus; the One Isaiah described as the “Everlasting Father.”
Road Rules: Discipline
An unloved child is an undisciplined child. Someone doesn’t care enough to help form the child’s spirit. But our heavenly Father loves us with a love that he initiates, that’s free and guaranteed. God sent Jesus to deliver you from a road of sin that would have destroyed you and separated you from God for eternity.
Road Rules: Prudence
We can’t always control how our children will respond. Sometimes they will need to learn life’s lessons through their own failures. But, parents, never give up on them even when it seems like they are not listening. The older they get, the smarter you get.
True Vine
Fruit in our lives will demonstrate that we are connected to True Vine, and his Father gets all the glory.
