Deliverance
Names of God: Living God
King Hezekiah received troubling news. He learned that the king of Assyria was on his way to capture Hezekiah’s kingdom. When Hezekiah heard the report, he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth, and went to the temple to pray. God heard Hezekiah’s prayer and delivered Judah from the powerful Assyrian army. Today’s passage is Hezekiah’s response.
Deliverance
Obadiah teaches us that even when it seems our enemy is winning, God always delivers.
In The Fire
They knew that God was more than powerful enough to save them, but they didn’t know if it was his will. Whether he saved them or not, they would not bow to anyone or anything other than God.
Waiting with Hope
In the middle of your confusion and pain, thank God for his love and faithfulness. Be still and wait for his deliverance in his timing.
The Believer’s Desire
Right there in the midst of our distress, God comes and delivers us.
Sing in the Darkness
Sing in spite of the chains that are holding you back. I can’t promise deliverance from your situation, but I can promise freedom within your situation. God will work in His way and in His time.
God is on My Side
Trust Him. Challenges will come. Illness may knock the props from underneath us. Relationships may break our hearts. Death of loved ones will bring overpowering waves of grief. But God is always preparing for our deliverance.
