Deliverance

That’s the life of obedience God calls us to. Is that the life of obedience that you are committed to?

The author, probably Jeremiah, understands that Babylon was used merely as a human instrument of God’s judgment. Yet through his laments, he wrestles with the ways of God.

The situation doesn’t always go away, but His peace passes all human understanding.

How about you? Can you celebrate the deliverance that Jesus brings . . . an eternal deliverance from sin, brokenness, and separation from God? Our spiritual deliverance is something that “should never fail to be celebrated.”

Giving is not to be legalistic or burdensome. It is an act of worship when we bring our offering to him. Someone has well said, “Give according to God’s blessing; lest he bless according to your giving.”
