Ecclesiastes: Wisdom is an Inheritance
I like to think of Ecclesiastes as Solomon’s journal. He is reflecting over a long life and clearly communicating that without God, life doesn’t make sense. We live under the sun but need an over the sun perspective for things to fit together.
Road Rules: Show and Tell
When our children hear and see our teaching and adopt the truth as their own, God’s success follows. The challenge with success is not the desire to be successful but the paths we take to reach the desired destination.
Road Rules: Verbal Sword Thrusts
We must teach our children the power of words from their mouths or through their thumbs with Tic Tok, Instagram, texts, or Twitter. And, of course, an important part of teaching is show and tell. We must model what we teach!
Road Rules: Telling the Truth
Telling the truth comes from the heart through the lips of a person who desires to honor God. Truth-telling is something we can show and tell our children every day. Remind your kids that God loves honesty—it’s like a kiss on the lips.
Lamb of God
Jesus, our Passover Lamb, gives us the right to become children of God and protects us from death—the final enemy. Because of Jesus, we will pass from death to life.
Abandoning My Agenda
Jesus called children to his side. He told his listeners, “Let the little children come to me… for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven”.
Abba Father
God is not only our heavenly Father; Jesus reminds us that he is tender, compassionate, gentle, and caring. Run to Abba Father and experience his loving embrace.
Walking in the Truth
It gives God no greater joy than to see that his children are walking in the truth.
Introduction of Legacy
The future of the gospel depends on this process of entrustment.
