Episode 82 When Strength Ran Out

Did not grow up in a Christian home, but my childhood in the suburbs was good. I was an only until age of eight when two brothers came along. Yes, life changed. Any fast forward, I am now raising (in my retirement age) my niece from one of these brothers (long story). I did find the Lord in my 40’s and was baptized. However, now in this circumstance raising a child, who is not an easy child (9) (or is it me or is it the drugs she was born with inside of her) and it is a struggle. We were involved in the church, but now I went back to work and work is my escape. But, I am listening to Pastor Ron’s sermons and this podcast hit home. I’m thirsty for the Lord but there is something fighting me most of the time because I don’t feel as close to Him. I will continue to listen to his sermons and asking God to keep holding on to me. Thank you for keeping me connected to the Lord.
