Below are reflective questions for you to prayerfully consider; choose one or two to focus on this week.

  1. PRAY: Ask God to open your heart so you can hear him speak to you about the issue.
  2. RESPOND: Confession. Repentance. Surrender. Thanksgiving.
  3. ACT: Take the steps to do what God is calling you to do.

Questions for Reflection:

  1. Jesus entered Jerusalem knowing the cross was ahead, yet he continued faithfully in the Father's plan. Where is God calling you to trust him and remain faithful even when obedience is difficult, or the outcome is not what you would choose?
  1. The tenants wanted for themselves what rightfully belonged to the vineyard owner. What has God entrusted to you-your time, resources, abilities, relationships, influence - that you may be tempted to treat as your own rather than his?
  1. Jesus teaches that God is “not God of the dead, but of the living.” How does your belief in the resurrection shape the way you live, make decisions, handle suffering, and think about your future?
  1. Jesus strongly confronted religious pride and hypocrisy. Where is there a gap between how you appear spiritually to others and what is actually happening in your heart and what would genuine humility and repentance look like?
  1. What are you tempted to place your security in besides Jesus-money, possessions, institutions, circumstances, or stability and what would it look like to trust him more deeply?
  1. What “cares of this life” are most likely to weigh down your heart and distract you from living with an eternal perspective?
  1. Jesus tells us to stay awake and pray for strength. What would spiritual watchfulness and dependence on God look like in your life this week?
