Reflection Questions

  1. How does remembering God’s past faithfulness strengthen your motivation to obey him today? Reflect on Exodus 19:4 and your own spiritual journey.

  2. What does it practically mean for you to live as part of God’s “kingdom of priests and holy nation”? How should this affect your daily life and witness?

  3. Do you have a healthy reverence for God’s holiness? How might a deeper awareness of who God is change your attitudes and decisions?

  4. What areas of your life most compete with God for your trust, attention, or identity?

  5. How can you intentionally remind yourself each day that God is your Deliverer and Provider?

  6. What practical steps can you take this week to place God more clearly at the center of your life?

  7. When you think about God, what images or concepts come to mind, and do they fully align with how Scripture reveals him?

  8. How can you cultivate a deeper habit of encountering God through his Word rather than through external aids or personal imagination?

  9. Are there habits in your speech where you casually or carelessly use God’s name?

  10. Do your promises, commitments, and daily actions as a believer reflect the name of Christ?

OWNING MY FAITH

JUANITA BOLLINGER

When did I own my faith?

I was 15 years old when I attended the Billy Graham crusade in 1952 in Pittsburgh. My mother and I joined the crusade choir and when Billy gave the invitation to come forward and accept Christ, I did just that, meeting my mom among those who came forward. She was always my prayer partner.

Forward 3 years, I entered nursing school and my roommate was from the Greenfield area, knew she was a Christian but never asked if she had a definite time of accepting Christ.

I discovered that she was at that Crusade the same night I was and gave her life to Christ. The Lord put us together as roommates 3 years later. That's when I knew that the Lord would always be with me and care for all that concerned me.

He saved a roommate for me. We are still friends to this day,74 years later.
