The following are eight reflective questions. I encourage you to prayerfully read through each question and identify the one or two you want to focus on.

  1. PRAY: Ask God to open your heart so you can hear him speak to you about the issue.

  2. RESPOND: Confession. Repentance. Surrender. Thanksgiving.

  3. ACT: Take the steps to do what God is calling you to do.

REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS

  1. Is there an area of private obedience I have neglected while focusing on public service?

  2. What step of obedience do I need to take in my home or personal life this week?

  3. Where might I be resisting what God is clearly saying to me?

  4. Is there a relationship I need to reconcile before moving forward spiritually?

  5. Is there an area where my heart has grown resistant to God’s correction or conviction?

  6. Where might I be trusting modern “false gods” (security, comfort, control, self-reliance) rather than trusting the Lord?

  7. Where in my life am I tempted to negotiate partial obedience rather than fully surrender to God’s will?

  8. When facing discipline, warnings, or hardships, am I responding with humility and trust—or with resistance and delay?
