Road Rules: People Pleasers
God knew the danger of people pleasing long before Psychology Today. Pleasing people is a no-win proposition that leaves you exhausted, distracted, and wandering far from God’s path.
Road Rules: Trust
Prosperity does not come from material things but from the spiritual discipline of following God’s instruction. Blessing does not come from anything the world can offer but from a deep trust in the sovereign Lord.
Road Rules: Straight Paths
Whether in marriage or parenting, whether in the workplace or in relationships with friends, the believer is committed to a higher standard. People of integrity always keep their word.
Road Rules: Refuge
But when our strong confidence is in God, our children also see that and trust in him. God will be a spiritual shelter and protection for them, just as he has been for us.
Road Rules: Living in Freedom
When we trust in Jesus, the old is gone; the new has come. We are forgiven of our past and adopted into the eternal King’s family. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a life of obedience. Our position in Christ gives us significance, security, and acceptance. We do not have to follow the instincts of our old lives.
Road Rules: Trust In Him
We work productively, earn the appropriate degrees, develop healthy relationships, pray and participate as citizens, and use our money as good stewards. But we cannot trust in any of these alone. Victory rests with the Lord.
But, Lord
Jesus does amazing things. Trust him, and he will turn things that stinketh into things that shine for his glory.
Bright Morning Star
Follow Jesus, the Bright Morning Star. He’s the One you’ve been waiting for, longing for. He’s the One, the only One, who can give you what you have always been looking for.
Amen
God places his seal of ownership on us and gives us his Spirit as a deposit guaranteeing what is to come. In Christ, we will always stand firm.
