Trust

The faith of a child. It’s not just refreshing; it’s required. It’s sad when people get too big for Jesus, isn’t it?

You can’t save yourself. Only Jesus can save you. Trust Him completely to take you through this life and one day carry you home.

We will find that God never fails!

We can fill our hearts with fear convincing ourselves that Jesus doesn’t care. Or we can trust Him to calm the storm or calm us in the storm. I know it’s easier said than done, but those are our choices - fear or faith. It’s an easy answer; it’s a hard application. Let’s pray for His help.

Trust Him. Challenges will come. Illness may knock the props from underneath us. Relationships may break our hearts. Death of loved ones will bring overpowering waves of grief. But God is always preparing for our deliverance.

Following Jesus should not be dependent on our circumstances. We should trust Him just as much in our success as in our failure.

Jesus holds absolute power over the grave. For all who trust in Him, death is pushed aside as we transition to eternal life.

The author, probably Jeremiah, understands that Babylon was used merely as a human instrument of God’s judgment. Yet through his laments, he wrestles with the ways of God.

In whom or what do you trust? In whom or what do you place your confidence?
