Strong

Real strength comes from only one place. We can be strong only because the LORD Almighty is our God. His strong arm is never too short to help us.

Here’s the question. As God looks for someone to build up the wall and stand before Him in the gap, whom will He find? Here’s the bigger question - will He find you?

Spiritual discipline is not self-sufficiency. It is the wisdom to latch on to the Source, be filled with His strength, and be controlled by His Spirit.

Most of all, we need leaders who are not in it for themselves but are willing to make needed sacrifices to help others. We must have leaders - like Nehemiah – filled with great compassion

Generations will be impacted by your commitment to be strong, act like a man (if applicable) and walk in obedience.

Today’s passage issues a strong warning. Sin always brings consequences.

Be leery of reluctant leaders. Their skin is not thick enough, their roots aren’t deep enough, and their commitment is not strong enough.

The echoes are just as relevant today as they were the day Joshua gave this address to the leaders of Israel. And the commitment is needed today more than ever.

God was with John as he grew and “became strong in spirit.”
