Our passage today is Isaiah 53:6-12 as we continue our study of the most definitive Old Testament text foretelling the work of Jesus. As we did yesterday, we will consider this verse by verse.

Light in the Darkness: Forgiveness

So, what does God do with our sin? I don’t mean to be flippant with that question. I know that my sin separated me from God, and Jesus paid the penalty for my sin on the cross. He took on God’s wrath for sin and satisfied the Father by his amazing work.

Promises: Satisfied

We have all had the physical experience of being thirsty. Too much sun, a hard workout, a long day can cause us to need a drink of water. Have you ever been spiritually thirsty? Have you ever experienced a parched soul? Check out today’s psalm.

Ecclesiastes: Wealth

God owns it all, and everything we have is a gift from him. Satisfaction comes when we are content with what God gives and steward his gifts in a way that honors him. 

Bread of Life

Jesus is the Bread of Life. He came down from heaven to fill our spiritual hunger. All who trust in him will be spiritually satisfied…forever.

Hungry

Jesus brings complete satisfaction.

Water Without Cost
Image

Your thirsty soul can finally and forever be satisfied by Jesus.

Unfinished Work

When God wants you to do great things for Him, He is not satisfied with a good start but no follow-through. Get up and get to work. Finish the task God has called you to!

Meet with God

It’s time to meet with God. Thankfully, we need not look for Him; He has made Himself known to us through Christ.
