Righteous

Do you ever watch those murder mystery series that follows the search for the killer and subsequent trial? The suspense comes when the evidence has been given, and everyone is waiting for the verdict from the jury. Can you imagine standing there waiting to hear the words— “guilty” or “not guilty”? In the next moments, your destiny is revealed—prison or freedom.

The name of the Lord describes his person, character, and works. God—all he is and all he does—is a strong tower. We run to him, embrace him, and cling to him. He provides safety and security. Like a child hanging on to his father, we cling to him, and he upholds us with his powerful right hand (Ps. 63:8).

Father, teach us that integrity is to be applied in every area of our lives. Teach us that the failure to do so is not integrity at all.

So...make plans that are fair to everyone in your life because your plan will impact everyone in your life!

With Jesus, our verdict is, “Not guilty!” His sacrifice provides full pardon. The Righteous sets the sinner free!

Our final judgment will not be based on what we have done but on what Jesus has done for us.

God waits with open arms!

When we trust in Jesus - His death to pay the penalty of our sins - His blood is applied to us. Our sins are forgiven. We are declared righteous before God.

Here’s the question. What is it costing you to serve Jesus? I mean, really? What sacrifices are you making for the One who gave it all for you?
