They did not have to fear. He was coming to their rescue. He would not allow them to be desolate and helpless like a poor widow. Isaiah wrote,
Promises: Heart Strength
In the English language, “hope” is a fuzzy word. It describes a wish or desire that something will happen or turn out a certain way. We might hope it doesn’t rain tomorrow, but tomorrow brings a downpour. In our language, hope has no guarantees. In Scripture, “hope” is different.
God Almighty
Let me remind you that God’s character and attributes never change. His name is still El Shaddai. He is still all-powerful and all-sufficient.
Never Changing
Thank God for never changing. Thank God that you can always depend on him to do everything he has promised to do.
God Almighty
God will not give us everything we want. God will give us everything he has promised.
God’s Promises Are Always True
I don’t know what your situation is today. Maybe like Abram, you are beginning to feel that God has forgotten you and his promise. You have fallen into that “can’t happen” mindset. Let me remind you that his name is still God Almighty!
