Promise
All I Want for Christmas: Hope
The virgin birth certainly defines history. If Jesus was simply the product of a man and a woman, his life and death were no more significant than yours and mine. We could not even call him a good teacher.
All I Want for Christmas: Hope
Seven hundred years before Jesus came, the prophet Isaiah proclaimed the promise. A virgin would conceive. God’s Son would be born, and his name would be called “Immanuel (which means God with us)” (Matt 1:23). God would come to live among us, and he would never leave us. Immanuel is our great hope.
But, Lord
Jesus does amazing things. Trust him, and he will turn things that stinketh into things that shine for his glory.
I Am the Resurrection
Through Jesus, we have the promise that death has no power over us. We simply pass from life, as we know it, to eternal life with the Lord.
Ritual or Reality
Can you believe in the promise of God to satisfy you without all the other stuff? Is there anything in your life you need to relent?
God Almighty
Let me remind you that God’s character and attributes never change. His name is still El Shaddai. He is still all-powerful and all-sufficient.
