Praying through the bible

God was with John as he grew and “became strong in spirit.”

This song celebrates the coming of Jesus, the promised Messiah.

They knew that this child was destined for a special assignment, “for the Lord’s hand was with him.”

She understood that nothing was impossible with God and she surrendered to God’s will for her.

The Messiah was on his way!

He had indeed scattered the proud and lifted up the humble! 

God’s great mercy is granted to all who trust in him.

To “glorify” God means to “magnify” him by demonstrating his greatness in words and actions.

When God calls us to do great things, he gives us proof that he is at work.
