Israel was in chaos. They lived under the tyranny of Rome. The Jewish people were taxed into poverty. They desperately needed peace. Some thought that peace would come through a military general. Others wanted a political leader to overthrow the Roman government from the inside.

The prophet Isaiah did not hold back on God’s words of judgment. However, his message included the promise of impending peace. Someone was coming who would change the course of history. Twenty-two times, Isaiah promised that a Deliverer was on the way.
Ecclesiastes: It will be well for those who fear God
We will not always understand the way he works. Some things will not make sense, no matter how hard we try to find the answer. But Solomon teaches us that this life is a vapor, a passing breeze. God loves us so much that he sent his Son to die for our sins, and one day Jesus will escort us into the Father’s presence.
Road Rules: Dealing with Anger (Part 2)
Anger produces strife, but it doesn’t have to. Instead of pressing anger, surrender it to God. Place your emotions under the control of the Holy Spirit that lives within every believer. He is more than capable of turning your swirling emotions into Spirit-controlled peace.
Road Rules: Wisdom
Wisdom does not guarantee a problem-free life or make us immune to the fallout of bad decisions. But wisdom will lead us to a life God blesses. And God will bring peace to our paths—a peace that surpasses human understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He never fails to provide everything I need.
The Great Shepherd of the Sheep
Whatever you are going through, find help and peace with the Great Shepherd. He will never disappoint you.
Selfish to Selfless
Jesus knows we need assurance from time to time. And he is more than willing to give us all the reassurance we need.
