Mind
Names of God: The Word
John gives the word logos new significance by using it to describe Jesus himself. Logos is not simply a combination of letters but the expression of a message. When John calls Jesus “the Word,” he is saying that Jesus is both the mind and the message of God.
Do Something
C. H. Spurgeon pastored in London in the 1800s. His writing is relevant and straight to the point. In a book called An All-round Ministry, Spurgeon exhorts believers to do something that counts for Jesus.
