Luke 2:41–52: mission accepted

Luke does not tell us much about Jesus’ childhood, so it is natural to wonder what those early years were like and how he interacted with his family. Although Mary would have known many details, Luke—writing under the Spirit’s inspiration—did not consider them necessary for his orderly account of Jesus’ life and ministry.
