Love

Love demonstrates the passion for getting the right job done. To make sacrifices for others and lay down the natural pride in one’s heart. Perfect love, of course, is only found in the person of Jesus. He demonstrated his unconditional love by dying for us on the cross...

What we do today matters for tomorrow. Our actions are not insignificant in the eyes of God. He will finally evaluate every word, thought, and deed. This will take place at two judgments—the Great White Throne judgment (for unbelievers) and the Judgment Seat of Christ (for believers). The final judgments are unavoidable. We will all give an account.

An unloved child is an undisciplined child. Someone doesn’t care enough to help form the child’s spirit. But our heavenly Father loves us with a love that he initiates, that’s free and guaranteed. God sent Jesus to deliver you from a road of sin that would have destroyed you and separated you from God for eternity.

It is the loyal love of God that keeps us safe and secure. People may fail us. Some may go back on their commitment. Some may break a promise. But God never does. As Christians, our eternity is settled. And that gives us the freedom to live.  

Want to win favor with God? Want to enrich your marriage? Develop a heart of love and faithfulness, then let it flow through your life. At the end of the day, you will be welcomed home by God, and your children will have a godly legacy to follow. 

These two qualities are the essence of a person who follows hard after Jesus. “Bind them around your neck” to guide your actions. “Write them on the tablet of your heart” to guide your inner person. Love and faithfulness must saturate our thoughts, desires, and actions. 

If you truly love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, then the things you desire and do will be in line with his plans.

God’s unconditional love means that I can do nothing to make him love me more; there is nothing I can do to make him love me less.

No longer contained in the body of a baby; no longer confined to a cross; on that day, Jesus will come with the “fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.”
