The Ultimate Surrender
Jesus’ life and death were acts of relent for you and me. He bought us by his death and brought us together as the church through his ultimate surrender.
The Ultimate Surrender
Being man and sinless, Jesus was the only one who could die on man’s behalf. There was no other one and no other way. And yet we get just a hint of the pain of the cross in today’s passage.
The Ultimate Surrender
Easter is coming. But today, slow down and thank Jesus for his great sacrifice.
Abandoning My Agenda
Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone. If we reject or neglect the Cornerstone, our lives (relationships, jobs, dreams, desires, etc.) will be out of line.
Abandoning My Agenda
Jesus lived with zeal and passion. He entered the temple area and “drove out” all who had turned worship into a money-making scam.
Selfless
John knew what he was made to do. He surrendered his life to God’s assignment.
Selfish to Selfless
Jesus said, “You will recognize them by their fruits” (Matt. 7:16). By the fruit of a person’s life, you will know what is in their heart. A heart transformed by Christ produces the fruit of his Spirit.
Selfish to Selfless
Show people how he lived. Tell people what he said. Explain to people why he died.
The Word
He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.
