Instruction

So, when we read in Scripture that we should live in fear of the Lord, it means that we are to live in awe and respect for our heavenly Father, who demonstrated his great love to us by sending his Son to die for our sins. We live in awe of his love, his greatness, and his power. 

This simple yet profound instruction is given by the writer of Hebrews. . . we are to keep our minds focused on Jesus, our apostle, the One sent from God.

We worship Jesus as our Savior who paid the penalty for our sin. And…we read and study the instruction of Jesus our Teacher, who provides the words of eternal life.

Knowing God’s instruction and choosing to neglect it demonstrates a rebellious spirit and a disregard for the Author. 

The only basis for our boasting is to know the living God.

As David neared death, he desired three things for his son. 

Find the doubters. Seek out those wavering. Discover those who are confused. Show them the truth with the same mercy Jesus showed to you.
