Promises: Amazing God
Thanks for taking the time to join me as we engage in God’s Word together each day. If these devotionals are helpful, be sure to share them with a friend or have them subscribe at ronmoore.org/subscribe. Also, we are excited to resume our podcasts in September. We look forward to sharing many stories of how God works in real life. We have episodes featuring a former major league baseball player and his search for identity, a couple who struggled with a secret sin, two young adults sharing about their father’s lasting legacy, a moving story about a father’s unconditional love, and many more. I’ll let you know when the episodes are released.
Confidence
When we understand that the “Who?” behind all our life is God…that knowledge translates into trust.
Whirlwind of Consequences
If you sow the winds of sin, you will reap the whirlwind of consequences.
Forgetting God
Thank God for His gracious welcome back when we humbly return from the land of forgetfulness.
Open Arms
Regardless of how far we have gone, how long we have been gone or how much damage we’ve done, the loving Father waits with open arms to welcome his child (prodigal though he or she may be) back home.
Something To Hold Onto
Do you feel like your life has been shaken? Let me introduce you to the Rock. He is the loving God who desires an eternal relationship with you. He is the gracious God who longs to show you favor. He is the caring God who wants to protect you.
Praying God’s Blessing
Aaron’s “Priestly Blessing” is a great prayer to pray for our children. I introduced this prayer yesterday and considered the first three requests. Here are the final four.
The Sin Game
Don’t run from him; run to him! God promises that if we confess our sins, he “is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). It’s time to come out of the darkness into the wonderful light of God’s grace.
Our Creator and Protector
God the Father: The All-Powerful Creator. God the Son: The Agent of Creation, Re-Creation and Resurrection. God the Spirit: The Protector and Nurturer. How can we respond to such a powerful, gracious and loving God? Only one way - bow down and worship him. Why don’t you do that right now? Start the new year on your knees before the Triune God.
