Grace

The model citizen and the murderer, the faithful spouse and the adulterous one, the missionary who gave their lives in service or the person who turns to Christ with their last breath - grace is available for all. Thank God that grace is never fair.

Maybe sin has knocked you for a loop. Maybe it has wrestled you to the ground and pinned your back to the mat. You don’t have to stay down. Today’s passage is a bold reminder that it’s time to get up, stand straight, and, by God’s grace, move forward.

Remember the locusts came as a result of their sin. But in God’s grace, He desires to bring restoration.

Thank God for His willingness to help you leave your past behind and build you a new future. Nothing is impossible with Him.

Maybe today the scars of your life show that you have lived far from God. You know the consequence of walking away. You know the inward pain and regret. You know the hurt that you have caused others. But please hear this - there is no sin that God cannot and will not forgive.

God wants to help you! The Father comes to help us on the journey by giving us what we don’t deserve. That’s called grace.

The situation doesn’t always go away, but His peace passes all human understanding.

Take the time to thank God for the ways that He has demonstrated these attributes in your life.

There is only one “monument” that can stand - a life transformed by Jesus. It is erected by grace through faith, “decorated” by the atoning blood of the Perfect Sacrifice. And there in its deep solid foundation is chiseled the name of its Maker. This life will stand forever.
