How do you know for sure? How can you know that you are a child of God? How do you know for certain that you will go to heaven when you die? You have trusted in Jesus and do your best to follow him, but how can you be confident that when you close your eyes in death, you will open them to see the Savior?

What do you have to do to become a Christian? What do you have to do to stay a Christian? Will God’s love still be there if you don’t clean up your act? Is a relationship with God on-again-off-again depending on your behavior?

Andre Agassi was a great tennis player. During his career, he won eight Grand Slam singles tournaments, an Olympic Gold medal, and $31 million in prize money, not to mention the millions of endorsement dollars he earned. And yet Agassi hated tennis. In an excerpt from his biography, Agassi said, “I play tennis for a living, even though I hate tennis, hate it with a dark secret passion, and always have.”
