Eternal

Just as there is a season for everything, there will be a time when God will make everything right. Paul explains that truth should cause men and women to turn from their wicked ways.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

Godly wisdom gives you the discernment to check your heart and actions first. Godly wisdom allows you to live with an eternal perspective. Godly wisdom is not paralyzed with a “What’s this world coming to?” attitude but is energized by allowing God to grow us into those who demonstrate what it looks like to serve him. We can’t change the world, but we can ask God to change our hearts! 

Here’s the point of today’s proverb: Don’t be jealous; be zealous! Why envy the person who finds ultimate enjoyment in temporal stuff? Why envy the person whose eternal future will be “cut off”?

I don’t know what you are going through today, but Jesus does. He knows and understands. He loves you and can meet your deepest need.

Hunger will always return when you eat from the world’s banquet table. Ours is a spiritual famine that can only be satisfied with the “Bread of Life.”

When I understand and accept that I am a part of God’s story, I will not spend my life working for food that spoils. Instead, I will invest in eternal things because I know God’s story is an eternal one.

According to his perfect will, we can trust him to lead us on the right path.

God’s wrath is turned aside from us because of Jesus’ completed work on the cross. His atoning work gives us eternal life!
