Creator

The first name that God used to describe himself in Scripture is the Hebrew word, Elohim. This name means “Mighty Creator” and appears over 2,500 times in the Bible. It describes God’s power, sovereignty, and authority over all things.

Jesus is the Creator and ruler over God’s creation. In Jesus, all things hold together. He is supreme over everything.

God is not only our King; he alone is supreme, the “blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords.”

He is everywhere at the same time in his whole being. We cannot escape his power, presence, or protection.

Humbly accepting that God is beyond our understanding is the first step for a life of trust and faith.

Those who know Elohim can trust him. Elohim is ready to give you all that you need.

He is the omnipotent Creator who comes to meet us right where we are.

The apostles followed hard after Jesus during their lives and in their deaths.

He is holy and the “whole earth is full of his glory!”
