Light in the Darkness: Presence! Security! Protection! Forever!
Asaph was discouraged. Even though he was the leader of one of King David’s three Levitical choirs, even though he was serving the Lord, Asaph “was envious of the arrogant when [he] saw the prosperity of the wicked.” But then he gained an eternal perspective. In contrast to the temporary gains of the “wicked,” Asaph noted “The God Advantage.” Let’s consider four benefits found in today’s passage.
Promises: Presence! Security! Counsel! Eternity!
Today’s devotional is in memory of Tunch Ilkin. Tunch has been with the Lord for almost two years, and—like many who are reading or listening to this devo—I still miss him dearly. Tunch loved Jesus. He loved his family. And he loved to minister to men. Tunch was one of a kind, and he left a lasting impact.
