Fresh Start: Eternal Life
For the last few days, we have been considering an interaction between Jesus and the rich young man who desired to know how to have eternal life.
Standing Firm in Unshakable Faith: Hold Fast to Integrity
Job’s life had been a cakewalk—layers of sweet blessings iced with a thick frosting of more blessings. Then the cake collapsed. Job had to make a choice. It’s easy to love God when life is good, but how will you respond to God when things go sour? Job had lost all his possessions and his ten children. Now, he is about to lose his health.
Unshakable Faith in a Shaken World: Satan’s Aim
Our passage today is a front-row seat to a dialogue between God and Satan. In this conversation, initiated by God, we see the Father’s pride in his children and Satan’s hit at our motives.
Light in the Darkness: Sealed with the Spirit
Living in the light is living in confidence. We can see where we are going, and we know we will arrive at our destination. There is no “we might make it.” We will experience eternal life in heaven with the Lord! How can we be confident of heaven? Check out today’s passage.
Promises in the Psalms: The Refreshing Difference
Welcome to Promises in the Psalms—a devotional series purposed to glean the great promises of God from Israel’s book of worship. In this collection of prayers, songs, laments, and crying out to God, we will find rich promises to form the foundation of our journey. Let’s begin with the first psalm to ascertain where the believer’s delight is found.
Road Rules: Thankful and Dependent
I’m sure you’ve heard of the bestseller, Prayer of Jabez. It’s a book about an honorable man in the Old Testament who cried out to God, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” (1 Chron. 4:10). We like prayers that ask for more influence, impact, and opportunity, don’t we? But I doubt you are familiar with the prayer of Agur.
Head of the Church
The church participates in all the spiritual blessings provided for us by Jesus. He made it clear that he would build his church, and the gates of hell could not overcome it.
Rich in Spiritual Blessings
We are confident that God will complete the good work he has started in us.
Ask. Seek. Knock.
Seek those things that honor him. Stay on the path of obedience, then you will receive the great blessings God has for you.
