- Computers took up large rooms then small rooms then desktops then laptops. Now they are held in your hand.
- Phones were in a booth on the corner, then on the wall in your home, then transported in a suitcase-sized carrier, now easily fit in your pocket.
- Children are born, grow up, go to college, get married, and move to another part of the country without asking your permission.
- The winter is pushed out by the spring, then comes the summer, which gradually turns to the fall. The grass dries up and the flowers fall off the stems.
