Nothing Too Hard for God

[expand title="Devotion Text"]
Genesis 18:12-14
So Sarah laughed to herself, saying, “After I am worn out, and my lord is old, shall I have pleasure?” The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord?
Sarah was well past child-bearing age. She described herself as being worn out and her husband, Abraham as “old.” He was, after all, ninety-nine! But she had been promised a son. You would have laughed too. Except the promise came from God. And nothing is too hard for him.
So, today you stand facing the impossible. An illness. A separation. A wayward child. Without a job. Waiting for a relationship. The death of a dream. Rejection. Obstacles that seem insurmountable. Let me leave you with this question, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” You know the answer.
Talking Points
- Tell God all about the obstacle that stands in front of you. Tell him how helpless and hopeless you are feeling.
- Tell God that regardless of the challenge, you will trust him. Tell him that you truly believe with all your heart—nothing is too hard for him.
