REFLECTIVE APPLICATIONAL QUESTIONS: JOHN 19:38—JOHN 21:25

  1. Like Joseph and Nicodemus, are there areas where I need to step forward in bold obedience, regardless of the cost?

  2. How has the reality of the resurrection personally changed the way I view my life, struggles, or identity?

  3. Have I personally declared, like Thomas, “My Lord and my God”? If so, how does that shape my daily life, choices, and purpose?

  4. When I’ve failed Jesus, do I tend to run toward him or away from him—and how is he inviting me to respond today?

  5. What failure or regret do I need to bring to Jesus today so he can restore me with his grace?

Jesus’ Seven “I Am” Statements in the Gospel of John

  1. “I am the bread of life” (6:35).
  2. “I am the light of the world” (8:12).
  3. “I am the door of the sheep” (10:7; cf. v. 9).
  4. “I am the good shepherd” (10:11, 14).
  5. “I am the resurrection and the life” (11:25).
  6. “I am the way, and the truth, and the life” (14:6).
  7. “I am the true vine” (15:1; cf. v. 5).
