REFLECTIVE APPLICATIONAL QUESTIONS: JOHN 10:22—JOHN 12:50

  1. Are you living in the peace and freedom of knowing your salvation is secure in Christ, or are you still striving to earn what has already been given by grace?

  2. When God delays answering your prayers, do you respond with trust or frustration—or do you trust his timing even in your disappointment?

  3. Are there any parts of your life where you still feel tied to the "grave clothes" of your old self— and what would it be like to let Jesus and others help to “unbind” you?

  4. Are there things you're holding back that Jesus is inviting you to pour out in love, like Mary did with her perfume? What would it mean for you to bring wholehearted worship to Jesus this week?

  5. Are there areas in your life where you're valuing people's approval more than God's glory? What steps can you take to change that?

Jesus’ Seven “I Am” Statements in the Gospel of John[1]

  1. “I am the bread of life” (6:35).
  2. “I am the light of the world” (8:12).
  3. “I am the door of the sheep” (10:7; cf. v. 9).
  4. “I am the good shepherd” (10:11, 14).
  5. “I am the resurrection and the life” (11:25).
  6. “I am the way, and the truth, and the life” (14:6).
  7. “I am the true vine” (15:1; cf. v. 5).
