- The eternal life provided for and promised by Jesus can never be taken away.
- Jesus confirmed his authority and position with the Father by Scripture and miracles.
John 11:1-27: Do You Believe?

- Jesus wept—not over Lazarus’ death but over the devastating effect of sin on the world.
- By raising Lazarus from the dead, Jesus proved that he is the “resurrection and the life.”
- Jesus’ call for those who witnessed Lazarus walking out of the grave, to “unbind” him, illustrates the believer’s role in discipleship.
John 12:1-26: Extravagant Love
- Mary showed genuine humility and reverence by anointing Jesus’ feet with costly perfume.
- The King of Kings rode into Jerusalem on a donkey as he started his journey to the cross.
- Jesus taught that his death would bring life, much like a seed that is buried and then grows.
John 12:27-50: Glory that Matters
- As the time of the cross approached, Jesus was “deeply troubled” but remained completely surrendered to the Father.
- Jesus warned the crowd that rejecting the Light results in spiritual darkness and judgment.
- Some who believed in Jesus stayed quiet because they sought approval from others rather than from God.
