John 6:22–71: To Whom Shall We Go

  • Jesus said, “I am the bread of life.”
  • Belief in Jesus is essential for eternal life.
  • While many disciples turned away, Peter confessed that Jesus is the “Holy One of God.” 

John 7:1–52: Living Water. Divided Hearts.

  • Despite the religious leaders looking for a way to kill him, Jesus boldly taught in the temple.
  • Some trusted in Jesus as the Messiah. Others wrote him off as a deceiver.
  • On the final day of the feast, Jesus invited the spiritually thirsty to experience living water.

John 8:12–59: The Light of the World

  • Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.”
  • Freedom is found in Jesus alone. 
  • Jesus proclaimed his deity, saying, “Before Abraham was, I am.”

John 9:1–41: Eyes Wide Open

  • Jesus healed a man who had been blind from birth on the Sabbath.
  • The religious leaders interrogated the man and his parents.
  • Jesus exposed the spiritual blindness of the religious leaders.

John 10:1–21: The Good Shepherd

  • Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd.”
  • Jesus said, “I am the door for the sheep.”
  • The religious leaders and the crowds were divided over Jesus’ claims.
