Experiencing Spiritual Freedom: The Spirit’s Prayer
What do you do when you can’t pray? When the words won’t come. When your soul is exhausted. The great missionary J. Hudson Taylor came to that point. When anxiety filled his heart, he said, “I can’t read. I can’t think. I can’t pray. But I can trust.” We can all trust and know that the Holy Spirit is praying for us at a level we cannot comprehend.
Family Strong
I have lived long enough to know that talk is cheap. From politicians to preachers, many words can flow from the mouth without ever resulting in meaningful action. My mom taught me early on that actions speak louder than words. So we are spending a few days considering the premier parenting passage in Scripture.
ENGAGE: From Your Heart
Every believer needs a time of refreshment. The journey is long with many uphill climbs. Like the psalmist says, our soul thirsts for God “as in a dry and weary land where there is no water” (Psalm 63:1). There are days when we need renewal.
Bread of Life
There is deep within the heart a crying need…until we meet Jesus. He is the Bread of Life. He fills the heart with all that it needs. Jesus is what we always wanted and needed.
The Great Hope
When the night is the darkest; when discouragement hangs over your soul like a thick fog; when getting out of bed becomes the hardest part of your day; when your lips can’t smile; when the smallest chore takes all the energy you have, the Spirit is there praying for you at a depth beyond human words.
The Ultimate Surrender
Easter is coming. But today, slow down and thank Jesus for his great sacrifice.
