Confusion
The Week of the Cross: Saturday—Silence
Saturday was silent. The One who promised them life was dead. The One who spoke of saving others could not even save himself. How would he prepare those promised heavenly mansions when his body lay in a cold, dark tomb?
Light in the Darkness: The Light of Life
Most of us are afraid of the dark—the absence of light. That’s where chaos, fear, disillusionment, and anxiety reside. It’s the place where the unknown lives. What is waiting for us…hiding from us…in the darkness? It paralyzes. We can’t move forward in the darkness. But here is the good news—the believers’ light is always shining.
ENGAGE: Be Alert
The enemy is out to get you. Discredit you. Sit you on the sidelines. Destroy you. One of the things we need to talk to our Father about is spiritual protection. We have a dangerous adversary.
Disappointment. Anger. Confusion.
Hurt. Disappointment. Anger. Confusion. Fear. Mary was probably feeling all those emotions following the death of her brother Lazarus. She made her way to Jesus, fell at his feet, and let him know exactly what was on her mind. “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died” (John 11:32). Those words were spoken with tears running down her cheeks and between the loud sobs of grief.
Ecclesiastes: Injustice Confusion
God, what are you doing? What are you waiting for? Why won’t you bring justice today? What’s taking so long? Have you ever asked any of those questions, or maybe all those questions?
Road Rules: A Timely Word
Amazingly, the right words at the right time have the power to change our attitudes instantly. It moves our hearts from gloomy to joyful, our minds from confusion to clarity, and even puts a smile on our faces.
He is Risen Indeed!
Have you seen the risen Savior in your darkened world? He is there! Follow him in the resurrection of new life!
Silence
How could a man who raised the dead…die? Confusion filled their hearts. Saturday was silent.
Waiting with Hope
In the middle of your confusion and pain, thank God for his love and faithfulness. Be still and wait for his deliverance in his timing.
